The Competitive Arena
The FABA 2023 Startup Competition, organized by the French American Chamber of Commerce San Francisco (FACCSF) in partnership with French Tech San Francisco, is a premier event that attracts some of the most innovative startups from around the globe. FABA stands for French American Business Awards, an event aimed at celebrating and recognizing the dynamism and success of the French and American business community. The competition was held on April 11th, 2023, at the Orange Silicon Valley Office, where Surge had the privilege of presenting our project to a diverse audience and an expert jury.
The competition culminated in a grand ceremony on June 1st, 2023, at the stunning Palace Hotel in San Francisco. The atmosphere was electric, filled with anticipation, as we awaited the results.
A Double Triumph for Surge
When Surge was announced as the winners of both the Jury Prize and the People’s Choice Prize, we were filled with a sense of exhilaration and gratitude. This double recognition underscores the faith and support we have received from both the industry and the public.
The Jury Prize, awarded by a panel of industry experts, is significant as it recognizes the potential and execution of our venture. The People’s Choice Prize, on the other hand, reflects the voice and support of the public, a critical component in the success of any startup.
